P/E Backed B2B Service Group
Great opportunity for an experienced FD to join an organisation going through huge positive change to help drive growth, oversee M&A as well as ensure business as normal during a period of explosive growth.
The organisation has seen unprecedented change in the past 12 months with the introduction of a major Private Equity partner, plus changes/upscaling in many of the most critical seats around the boardroom table. Having attracted major talent into the business in these roles, the business has seen a whole new lease of life and has dramatically shifted ‘up a gear’.
With a significant investment fund, new initiatives are aplenty impacting both operational/organisation performance and commercial development. Their M&A strategy will continue bring major step-changes to the organisation.
The business is more than capable of operating ‘business as normal’ but will benefit from strong leadership atop the Finance function, as will the board with class-leading commercial input. Furthermore, the ongoing acquisition planning/modeling/etc combined with post-acquisition integration strategies will require external assistance – as well as having an FD there for M&A processes themselves.
M&A planning will at times be the primary focus for the individual, thus significant, recent exposure of leading acquisitions will be highly desirable, but individual’s ability to provide significant input elsewhere within the commercial and financial management of the business will be paramount. Key element will be the ability for forge a strong relationship with the Private Equity partner, along with the knowledge that adopting a ‘Cash Is King’ mentality is the route to a fruitful P/E relationship.
The appointee will be available immediately, will be able to demonstrate significant competence in both astute financial leadership as well as M&A processes from recent experience. They must have had good, and recent Private Equity exposure as well as being able to demonstrate a real cash focus to their style of leadership and financial management. They will be a change agent, excited by the prospect of being in integral part of a business seeing such a huge increase is activity (internally & externally).
Whilst it is expected the interim assignment will be for just 6 months, there is the chance that this role could go longer, and even permanent. The ability/desire to consider permanent CFO roles could be an advantage.
This role will be a quick turnaround with interviews expected w/c 15th August, or sooner – thus please indicate your interest quickly!
